Trong vài năm trở lại đây, thị trường Việt Nam chứng kiến sự bùng nổ của hàng loạt thương hiệu mỹ phẩm và thực phẩm chức năng mang yếu tố “thảo dược dân tộc”, trong đó tên tuổi người H’Mông được sử dụng rộng rãi như một biểu tượng của thiên nhiên, bản sắc và niềm tin.

Tuy nhiên, phía sau lớp vỏ truyền thông hào nhoáng, hàng loạt sản phẩm được phát hiện:

Không có nghiên cứu lâm sàng chính thức,
Không công bố các chỉ tiêu an toàn,
Không có đội ngũ chuyên gia y dược kiểm định,
Và đa phần được sản xuất theo hình thức OEM/ODM đại trà, chỉ thay bao bì, gắn nhãn mác mới.

Điều đáng buồn hơn, nhiều thương hiệu do chính người H’Mông sáng lập hoặc đại diện lại là nạn nhân – hoặc cộng tác viên – cho các “ông trùm” đa cấp, chộp giật, và thiếu đạo đức kinh doanh.

II. Người H’Mông – từ người giữ tri thức bản địa trở thành công cụ marketing

Hình ảnh người phụ nữ H’Mông hái thuốc, các loại lá cây vùng cao, những câu chuyện “gia truyền” được khai thác tối đa như một công cụ marketing. Tuy nhiên, tri thức bản địa không thể trở thành “hương liệu trang trí” cho các sản phẩm rẻ tiền.

Nếu tri thức đó không được:

Nghiên cứu bài bản,
Kiểm chứng khoa học,
Bảo vệ bằng pháp luật sở hữu trí tuệ,
Và phát triển đúng hướng,

thì nó chỉ là thứ bị lợi dụng, không đem lại giá trị cho cộng đồng, thậm chí còn hủy hoại uy tín người H’Mông trên thị trường.

III. Sự thay đổi của thời đại: Ngày nay, người tiêu dùng cần có kiến thức

Trước kia, người bán hàng cần có chuyên môn. Ngày nay, ai cũng có thể bán nếu có tiền, có ngoại hình hoặc khả năng truyền thông. Vậy nên, người tiêu dùng mới là người phải tự trang bị kiến thức để không bị lừa.

Các sản phẩm “tự xưng là tốt” thường đi kèm:

Lời quảng cáo “tác dụng thần kỳ”,
Giá bán cao bất thường,
Người nổi tiếng PR nhưng không chịu trách nhiệm về chất lượng.

Đây là lúc người tiêu dùng – đặc biệt là đồng bào vùng cao, người dân nông thôn – cần được truyền thông giáo dục sức khỏe, kiến thức tiêu dùng thông minh và kỹ năng phân biệt hàng thật – giả.

IV. Những thương hiệu H’Mông “nửa mùa” cần tỉnh thức

Một số người H’Mông giàu có, nổi tiếng, tự cho mình là “doanh nhân khởi nghiệp bản sắc” nhưng thực chất không hiểu về dược học, công nghệ sinh học, hay chuỗi cung ứng an toàn. Họ đứng tên công ty, thuê người sản xuất, rồi gắn mác truyền thống H’Mông.

Họ không biết:

Ai là người kiểm định sản phẩm?
Có hợp chất nào độc hại tích tụ lâu dài không?
Sản phẩm có đủ điều kiện bán ra thị trường quốc tế không?

Một thương hiệu chỉ bền vững nếu dựa trên sự thật, khoa học, và đạo đức. Nếu không, đó chỉ là một cơn sốt chớp nhoáng – rồi tan biến, để lại hậu quả cho cộng đồng.

V. Khuyến nghị các cơ quan chức năng và báo chí

Chúng tôi kêu gọi:

Bộ Y tế, Cục An toàn Thực phẩm, Cục Quản lý Dược cần thanh tra chặt chẽ hơn các sản phẩm gắn mác dân tộc, đặc biệt tại vùng nông thôn, vùng sâu vùng xa và trên mạng xã hội.
Báo chí, các đài phát thanh – truyền hình vùng cao cần tăng cường các chương trình truyền thông giáo dục cộng đồng H’Mông về tiêu dùng, sức khỏe, phân biệt thật giả.
Cục Sở hữu trí tuệ và Viện Dân tộc học cần có các chương trình bảo vệ tri thức bản địa, tránh bị đánh cắp, thương mại hóa sai cách.

VI. Định hướng tương lai: Phát triển bền vững từ gốc rễ tri thức

Nếu thực sự muốn đưa sản phẩm H’Mông ra thế giới, chúng ta cần:

Hợp tác với trường đại học, viện nghiên cứu y dược, sinh học,
Xây dựng chuỗi sản xuất – kiểm nghiệm – chứng nhận khoa học bài bản,
Đăng ký sở hữu trí tuệ, và
Thành lập liên minh sản phẩm bản địa H’Mông chính thống, giúp kiểm soát, chuẩn hóa và bảo vệ cộng đồng khỏi những hành vi lợi dụng.

VII. Lời nhắn gửi cuối cùng đến cộng đồng

Đồng bào H’Mông ta rất giỏi, rất kiên cường. Nhưng hãy tỉnh táo!

Đừng để ai mang danh người H’Mông để trục lợi.
Đừng tiếp tay bán sản phẩm bạn không hiểu rõ.
Đừng biến mình thành công cụ tiếp thị cho những thứ rẻ tiền đội lốt dân tộc.
Nếu làm – hãy làm bằng trí tuệ, bằng khoa học, bằng sự chân thành.

Chúng ta có thể tạo ra thương hiệu mạnh, thực sự mang tính toàn cầu. Nhưng không phải bằng con đường tắt. Mà bằng con đường thật, có tâm – có tầm – và có tương lai.

We were making our way to the Rila Mountains, where we were visiting the Rila Monastery where we enjoyed scrambled eggs, toast, mekitsi, local jam and peppermint tea.

We wandered the site with other tourists

Yet strangely the place did not seem crowded. I’m not sure if it was the sheer size of the place, or whether the masses congregated in one area and didn’t venture far from the main church, but I didn’t feel overwhelmed by tourists in the monastery.

Headed over Lions Bridge and made our way to the Sofia Synagogue, then sheltered in the Central Market Hall until the recurrent (but short-lived) mid-afternoon rain passed.

Feeling refreshed after an espresso, we walked a short distance to the small but welcoming Banya Bashi Mosque, then descended into the ancient Serdica complex.

We were exhausted after a long day of travel, so we headed back to the hotel and crashed.

I had low expectations about Sofia as a city, but after the walking tour I absolutely loved the place. This was an easy city to navigate, and it was a beautiful city – despite its ugly, staunch and stolid communist-built surrounds. Sofia has a very average facade as you enter the city, but once you lose yourself in the old town area, everything changes.

Clothes can transform your mood and confidence. Fashion moves so quickly that, unless you have a strong point of view, you can lose integrity. I like to be real. I don’t like things to be staged or fussy. I think I’d go mad if I didn’t have a place to escape to. You have to stay true to your heritage, that’s what your brand is about.
